Many casinos in Nevada have over a thousand rooms in their hotels, and these generate a lot of hospitality employment in turn. Jobs are to be found from maintenance staff, to bell-boys, receptionists, managers, switchboard operators, chefs, waiters, bar staff, cashiers, pool attendants, the list goes on.
In addition to the hotels, the casinos generate a lot of employment themselves. As the main attraction on the premises, employers need the finest croupiers, card dealers, waitresses, and technical staff, not to mention bankers, accountants, security staff and management to pull all these together.
If one likes the idea of a desert climate, yet with all the trappings of the boulevards of Paris or Rome, all the fine dining of Florence, and scale replica monuments to all these places, why not seek gainful employment in Las Vegas?
There are many reasons people like employment in Las Vegas, and it’s really down to the individual as to why, but many favor the fact that wages are on average five percent higher in Nevada that its neighboring California.
There is also much to do besides work. With the stunning Colorado River nearby, with the Hoover dam making a great picnic destination, and the Grand Canyon a stone’s throw away, there are many possibilities as far as day trips are concerned. Monument valley is another local draw, whereas the ancient Native American cave paintings that adorn it make a grand day out in themselves.
So if one’s at a loose end, why not be an employee in Las Vegas. Your luck could be in before you even set foot inside a casino.
